‘Joined Up’ captures the findings of the CEFPI Australasia Mayfield Project 2014. With contributions from teams in Victoria/NZ, South Australia, New South Wales and Western Australia, this publication showcases contemporary thinking about a range of important learning environment issues.

The respective teams explored campus porosity, spatial literacy, connections between educational vision and the architectural brief, and the development of ‘neighbourhoods of learning’.

Complied by approximately 20 CEFPI Australasia members, this book celebrates the legacy of John Mayfield (co-founder of the first CEFPI chapter in Australia).

    • Kim Beazley Lecture Theatre (KEBLT) Building 351, Murdoch South Street campus

Murdoch University will be hosting a free screening of the film Most Likely to Succeed, which is taking the educational world by storm.

'For most of the last century, entry-level jobs were plentiful, and college was an affordable path to a fulfilling career. That world no longer exists. The feature-length documentary Most Likely to Succeed examines the history of education, revealing the growing shortcomings of our school model in todayʼs innovative world.  Directed by acclaimed documentarian Greg Whiteley, the film has been named “among the best edu-documentaries ever produced” by Education Week, and called a “smart and engaging look at education in the 21st century” by The Hollywood Reporter. Film Threat stated that “this film should be a required course for all parents and educators.” Most Likely To Succeed is an official selection of many of the America's top film festivals, including the prestigious 2015 Sundance Film Festival and Tribeca Film Festival.'

An absolute must-see for anyone with an interest in Education's place in the 21st Century, and our kid's future.

Learning Environments Australasia - 2018 Europe Study Tour

    Denmark - Sweden - Finland – Netherlands – Scotland - England

    Sunday 14 - Friday 26 January

We are excited to present the second Learning Environments Australasia Europe/UK study tour. The first tour in 2016, hosted by Anne Knock who has been organising and leading professional study tours since 2011, was a wonderful success with 15 participants, . Along the way Anne shares her depth of knowledge about schools and learning, and introduces the participants to a range of interesting professionals who share their story with the group.

In addition to this, the conversations along the way amongst the group add to the richness of the experience.

The itinerary is currently under-construction, but we are hopeful that there will be a variety of places of learning, including schools, universities, museums and science centres. The focus will be on innovative design and how this is supported by practice.

Click HERE for the preliminary itinerary!
