PRESENTATIONS & WORKSHOP

The School Landscape: An Opportunity for Outdoor Learning

This event explores maximising learning opportunities for students in the school landscape from concepts of learning through play; teaching in the outdoors; connecting students with their natural surrounds; and approaches in child development.

The event will commence with rapid presentations (25 slides x 20 seconds each) from a broad mix of presenters showcasing approaches and ideas of outdoor learning in the school landscape. This will be followed by group workshops and an opportunity for shared design and educational planning of school landscape scenarios. Group presentation and discussion will share the afternoon’s learning and conclude the formal part of the event.

Networking opportunities with drinks and nibbles will round off the afternoon.

A partner event to visit a school will occur later in March and showcase some approaches to how outdoor learning is implemented in practice.
