Hobart Summer Symposium

Join Dr Scott Alterator and practitioner experts Lewina Schrale (Physiotherapist and Educator), Dr Sonja Vanderaa (Trauma Consultant) and Rebecca Davis (Vision Specialist) in Hobart, Tasmania as we discuss the important topic of Inclusion, Education and Space.

Educational inclusion is supported by national and international policy yet students with sensory processing difficulties, due to backgrounds in impairment, disability and/or trauma, are not adequately catered for in the built environments of Tasmanian schools.

Lewina Schrale, Rebecca Davis and Sonja Vanderaa are practitioners in Tasmania with backgrounds in both allied health and education. With this dual lens they have been active in working with schools to support equity of access for this cohort of students. Those designing learning spaces and those using these spaces to facilitate the learning of students with disability and/or backgrounds in trauma have a duty to maximise student outcomes for those with this area of vulnerability.

Join us in Hobart for site tours, a symposium, afternoon tea and networking drinks! Dinner at La Sardina is optional for those interested in continuing the conversation.

We'd love to see you there, register now!
