Renewal - Waimairi School

Date And Time Thu, 25 March 2021  5:00 PM – 7:00 PM NZDT

Location Waimairi School, Tillman Avenue, Christchurch, Canterbury 8052

Come and explore the balance between purposeful design and flexibility.

Almost ten years to the date since the February 2011 earthquake Waimairi School's redevelopment is complete.

There is a strong pedagogical design influence from Dr Julia Atkin (a long-time critical friend of the school) with cues taken also from Mary Featherston's significant body of work.

A calm, purposeful and embracing environment has been created for our school community to inhabit.

Come and explore the range of learning settings and how they relate to each other.

Principal Mike Anderson and architect Brian Elliot from Design Group Stapleton Elliott will speak.
