Additional Screening 'Most Likely to Succeed"
The rapidly changing needs of society is driving schools to rethink learning practices – and spaces - to give students a leg up into the 21st century.
This is the view of film director, Greg Whitely, whose documentary, Most Likely to Succeed will have key screenings across the country this week.
Most Likely to Succeed is a forthright, provocative and engaging documentary that challenges us to rethink how we educate and learn.
Applauded by audiences at Sundance, Tribeca and the American Film Institute festivals, Most Likely to Succeed is inspiring educators to provide high-quality education and learning environments that spark curiosity, challenge thinking, provide license to innovate.
The film screening is being hosted by the Association for Learning Environments Australia, a diverse group of thinkers working together to plan and build better learning environments.
Longstanding architect and Chair of A4LE, Richard Leonard, says the film will add to the current discussion about how designers, educators and families can collaborate to create positive learning environments that enhance teaching and learning and prepare children and young people to become successful global citizens.
“All forms of education facilities have changed dramatically since my generation was at school – but there is more to be done,” he said.
“While the film is a case study of a US school we nevertheless jumped at the chance to put on this film screening as it will spark significant interest in just how much further we can travel in order to truly equip learners for a world that has rapidly changed in less than a generation”.
