The Victoria Chapter of Learning Environments Australasia invite you to join us for a tour of the multi-award winning Loreto Mandeville Centre in Toorak, designed by Architectus. The Mandeville Centre is this year’s recipient of the AIA Victorian Architecture Award for Educational Architecture. It also received a Commendation at this year’s Learning Environment’s Australasia Regional Awards for Construction of a New Major Facility.
The Mandeville Centre design weaves together learning and staff work environments to encourage informal interactions between students and teachers. The tour will include a presentation by the Loreto Staff including early supporters, objectors and objectors turned supporters.
The Agenda for the event is:
3.30 - Tour of Loreto Mandeville Hall, Toorak(optional).
4.00 - Presentation of the Mandeville Centre and Winifred Square highlighting the spatial qualities followed by an introduction to the staff work space.
4.30 - Tour of Mandeville Centre.
5.15 - Staff Presentation including refreshments provided by Architectus.
5.40 - Open floor discussion.
6.00 - Conclusion.
