“The Mandeville Centre… employs a mixed program to provide a variety of new spaces and functions for the school. The year 12 centre supports self-directed blended learning for this cohort and demonstrates a commitment by the school to prepare its students for the next stage of their education."

  • Jury Citation as published in the Australian Institute of Architects Magazine 2016

The Victoria Chapter of Learning Environments Australasia invite you to join us for a tour of the multi-award winning Loreto Mandeville Centre in Toorak, designed by Architectus. The Mandeville Centre is this year’s recipient of the AIA Victorian Architecture Award for Educational Architecture. It also received a Commendation at this year’s Learning Environment’s Australasia Regional Awards for Construction of a New Major Facility.

The Mandeville Centre design weaves together learning and staff work environments to encourage informal interactions between students and teachers. The tour will include a presentation by the Loreto Staff including early supporters, objectors and objectors turned supporters.

The Agenda for the event is:

3.30 - Tour of Loreto Mandeville Hall, Toorak(optional).

4.00 - Presentation of the Mandeville Centre and Winifred Square highlighting the spatial qualities
followed by an introduction to
the staff work space.

4.30 - Tour of Mandeville Centre.

5.15 - Staff Presentation including
refreshments provided by Architectus.

5.40 - Open floor discussion.

6.00 - Conclusion.
