How permeable are learning spaces and curriculum now that learning is no longer confined to a classroom?
Join Dr Janet Buchan for this interactive online workshop, introducing participants to curriculum mapping and learning design tools and strategies that can be used to design connected learning experiences in ever-changing learning environments.
The Learning Space Spectrum is a practical tool that can be used to visualise and map where the learning happens; permeating the boundaries of the learning experience from schools and universities to home and encompassing those ‘Spaces on the Edges’ such as workplace learning, field learning spaces and everywhere in-between.
The Unit planner for Connected Learning is introduced as a practical tool for a holistic approach to including learning spaces in curriculum mapping and lesson design.
This workshop is of interest to educators, designers and architects and has a particular focus on secondary and tertiary education environments.
