Clyde Creek Primary School Site Visit

Join us as we celebrate the award-winning Clyde Creek Primary School (CCPS) and the co-located Specialist Campus on 17th August at 4:30 pm!

Designed by Kerstin Thompson Architects in association with McBride Charles Ryan, CCPS is the proud recipient of the 2022 LEA Vic / Tas Chapter award for Category 2: New Campus with New Educational Facility. The school, part of the New Schools 2022 Bundle B package, is situated in Melbourne's South-East and thoughtfully balances the efficiencies of template design with site specific opportunities and constraints.

Accommodating 525 students, CCPS features four permanent buildings, including the Administration (with Resource Intensive Learning and Learning Resource areas), two Learning Neighbourhood Buildings, and a Community Hub for performing arts and physical education.

The campus design centres around a central 'civic heart,' fostering gathering, outdoor learning, and play. Learning neighbourhoods support flexible learning communities, promoting both traditional and progressive pedagogies. Integrating indoor and outdoor learning spaces, CCPS offers a holistic learning environment that encourages community engagement and after-hours use.

But that's not all! Join us as we explore the adjoining Clyde Creek Primary School Specialist Campus. Designed by K2LD Architects, this inclusive campus caters up to 50 students with mild to severe intellectual disabilities. Co-located with the Primary School, the Specialist Campus fosters a strong connection to their school and wider community.

Comprising 3 buildings, Administration, Community Hub and a Learning Building, the Specialist campus provides a series of playful learning spaces with a strong connection to the outdoors, utilising sensory landscape elements to ensure an extension of the learning journey beyond the classroom.

The Specialist campus is a place away from home and a significant foray into the outside world. It provides a learning environment where students feel comfortable and confident to embrace challenges, take risks in their learning and continue to develop to their full intellectual, physical and social potential.

Join us for a tour of the facilities and discussions with key stakeholders. We'd love to see you there, register now!
