Co-creating Future Schools and the Power of Stakeholder Engagement
Autens and Autens Pasifika are leading education consultancies based in Denmark and New Zealand and working globally. Autens have facilitated design of more than $1 billion worth of educational facilities, recognised as One Hundred Ed Innovator, and winner of The Danish School Architecture Award 2020 and 2021.
This session will highlight the process and the work surrounding the workshop Learning Space Design Lab which enables all stakeholders in a school community to come together to enable good design based around rich pedagogical principles.
Lene Jensby Lange is the Founder and CEO of Autens. Sandra Jenkins is co-founder and CEO of Autens Pasifika, based in New Zealand.
In this presentation Lene and Sandra will focus on the power and necessity of involving all the school community in school design. We will explore the user voices in school design; why, who and how and the benefits to architects and the school community. School design is much more than a building project. This presentation aims to provides ways you can consider that architects and educators can co-create futures and build dreams together.
