Place and Learning; exploring ideas in education and design

Join us virtually on Thursday, July 11th for an illuminating discussion that explores the relationship between Place and Learning. Our distinguished panel of experts will delve into the significance of 'Place' in educational design, each through a different lens based on their varied background and expertise.

Kathryn Coff, a Yorta Yorta woman and CEO of the Nalderun Aboriginal Education Corporation, is currently completing her PhD at the University of Melbourne. With a focus on starting from a First Nations standpoint, Kathryn's research and expertise sheds light on the transformative potential of education grounded in Ways of Being, Knowing, and Doing.

Kelly Boucher, an esteemed education leadership consultant and independent scholar, champions transformative education through collective critical dialogue. She was cited for best practice by the 'Victorian Curriculum Assessment Authority' (2019) and has contributed chapters to best-selling titles such as 'Flipping the paradigm on Learning' (2021). Kelly's work emphasises the deliberate integration of place-based learning, fostering environments that inspire curiosity and connection.

Completing our panel is Matt Hamilton from Bush Projects, offering a unique perspective on the symbiotic relationship between education and the natural environment.

Join us for this thought-provoking discussion on Place and Learning. We hope to see you there!
