Royal Children's Hospital Nature Playground Site Visit

Join us for an adventure-filled afternoon, exploring the Nature Play playground at Royal Park. Opened in 2015, the playground is part of the partnership between the City of Melbourne and the Department of Health and Human Services. In 2016 it was awarded Australia’s Best Playground by the Australia Institute of Landscape Architects.

More than that, the play space and the park around it offer a much needed source of excitement and joy for both locals and children and parents accessing services at the adjacent Royal Children’s Hospital.

Skye Haldane, Landscape Architect and Urban Designer with the City of Melbourne, will join us to talk about the background to the project and it’s development. Additionally, we may also be joined by one of the park rangers to run through the education programs run in the park and the ongoing work they do.

The tour will meet near the BBQs, up the stairs from the public toilet. We will be outside, so don't forget to dress for the weather!

As always, the event will be followed by drinks, networking and great conversation at The Castle Hotel in North Melbourne.

We hope to see you there!
