How flexible? The relationship between pedagogy and classroom design

Join us online to hear the latest research.

Speaker: Louise Starkey

The current rebuilding and furnishing of schools across New Zealand is aimed to improve quality and classrooms designed for the 21st Century. In this presentation I will draw on research to explore the relationship between pedagogy and classroom design with a focus on the secondary school context. This will include discussing how the design of the learning environment can constrain or enable pedagogical practices and the implications from the perspective of educational priorities in 2021.
