Re-thinking learning spaces based on innovative pedagogy
Faced with the challenge of transforming conventional learning spaces into environments that promote student autonomy, this workshop is designed to harness the collective expertise of Educators and Architects. Participants will be guided through the design thinking process to collaboratively revision and invent learning environments that make innovative pedagogy and learning workable, engaging and visible.

Gabrielle Kempton
Gabrielle Kempton is the Head of Learning Creativity at St Paul’s School. Gabrielle works with teachers across all discipline and Year levels to build shared understandings of Creativity and to support teachers when adopting pedagogical approaches that foster learners’ creativity. Gabrielle has a Masters Degree (Research) in Creativity with a focus on Creativity within interdisciplinary teaching and learning contexts.
Tim Osborne
Tim Osborne is the Head of Learning Design Thinking at St Paul’s School. Tim works with teachers in exploring the potential of design thinking as a pedagogical approach from PP to Year 12 and across all subjects. Tim is passionate about design and the thinking associated with the process. He believes it is critical we foster and nurture innovator’s dispositions and mindsets through providing students with a ‘toolkit’ of design thinking strategies in preparation to be responsive and resilient future global citizens.

Street parking only. Please allow an extra 10 mins to park and make your way to the CiTEL. College Map attached with CiTEL entry.
Directions: Enter the College through the Hawthorne Road bottom gate, Gate 2. Follow the driveway past the big tree to CiTEL, straight ahead. Registration will be upstairs in CiTEL.
