ACT CHAPTER EVENT #1 2022: RADFORD COLLEGE

Plans to Pedagogy: Research in Action

The Morison Centre and The Ridge @ Radford College

Commencing in 2017, Radford College has partnered with the University of Melbourne as part of the Plans to Pedagogy research program. The overall objective of this research has been to support teachers to effectively use contemporary, innovative learning environments as a pedagogical tool. This online event will bring together Radford’s ‘spatial learning’ group to discuss the activities and findings from the research to date. We will discuss the key spaces that resulted from the research activities and look at how this has impacted future planning for the site.

Together, we will explore the dual perspectives of designers and educators, with a focus on the collaborative process that led to the development of these two very different buildings.

Speakers:

  • Fiona Godfrey - Principal, Radford College
  • Lisa Plenty - Director of Digital Learning and Innovation, Radford College
  • Louise Wallace-Richards - Assistant Principal for Teaching and Learning, Radford College
  • Dr Marian Mahat - Senior Research Fellow, Learning Environments Applied Research Network (LEaRN)
  • Marcus Graham - Practice Principal, Stewart Architecture
