St Luke’s is an exciting and thriving school which is designing a new normal for learners aged 3 to 18 years of age. Staff and parents work as partners to nurture faith filled curious children to become creative contributors and innovative problem solvers for a changing world.
Across the afternoon you will hear from Principal, Greg Miller, Project Director, David Bryant from Alleanza Architecture, and Greg Whitby from the Catholic Education Diocese of Parramatta. In addition, you will have the opportunity to tour the site, speak to teachers and the students.
St Luke's opened in February 2017 and Greg Miller is the foundation principal. Greg ensures that the College balances the foundations of great learning with the need to strategically plan for learning in a changing world.
The College commenced with pre-school and primary years and is now progressed to Stage 5 (Year 8), mapping out a four schools model as learners progress from The School of Early Learning, through to The School of Foundations, The School of Leadership to The School of Entrepreneurs.
Strategic master planning continues to be critical to the success of the College as it moves through to Stage 6/Years 11 & 12 in coming years. The design is intended to break down hierarchies and provide tangible connections between learners. An innovative approach to pedagogy is being pursued by the Diocese and this is reflected in how the school interfaces with the community both in the physical and virtual realm.
