We will journey through three very different case studies and have the opportunity to explore St Aloysius’ College and their FX Lab as part of this site visit.
In each case we will look from the 3 R’s perspective: Reflection, Relevance & Revolution.

Before embarking on a campus wide masterplan, St Aloysius’ College wanted to create a space to challenge the current teaching practices through a range of different learning opportunities as a prototype for project based, collaborative learning.
We will explore the space in comparison to the more traditional learning settings,
as well as review research conducted by The University of Melbourne’s Learning Environments Applied Research Network (LEaRN) on the pedagogical effectiveness of the space and how the lessons learnt have been realised in the Masterplan.
