For over 130 years, St Andrew’s Cathedral School has guided students to develop academic excellence, a passion for learning and a degree of higher order thinking that goes beyond the curriculum, in an environment that is uniquely shaped by the city location, making it the ultimate base camp for teaching and learning.

A High Rise Campus

The school has lived and worked in high rise buildings in the Sydney CBD for many years, utlising space and place to enhance teaching and learning opportunities.

A city school

Learning in the heart of one of the world’s greatest cities gives students the advantage they need to move confidently into the future and make a significant contribution to the world in the city of Sydney or in cities around the globe.  Due to the city centric location real-life learning are woven into the curriculum as it interfaces dynamically with the city, students experiencing vibrancy both in and out of the classroom.  The school has established ongoing relationships with organisations in the city and has designed relevant learning opportunities that link to these organisation

Join us as we explore what the challenges have been in responding to the changing face of teaching and learning with a “school” accommodated in high rise buildings in the centre of the city.  What have been the responses and solutions.

Light refreshments will be served after the  presentations and tour, enabling us to reflect and discuss observations and what we can each take away.

Places will be limited to 60 spaces so book early to avoid disappointment.
