From humble beginnings, the company was founded in May 1995 by Tony Clark, Gail Fuller and Wayne Lewis who named it after the Rising Sun Inn in Adelaide, South Australia. With a filmography of over 100 films, Rising Sun has achieved some truly amazing & technically challenging work, building a team of artists who are amongst the best in the world.

Rising Sun Pictures are proud to be one of the most well established, independently-owned visual effects companies in the world. Rising Sun’s studio is centrally located in the heart of the Adelaide CBD and is only 15 minutes away from everything that the beautiful city has to offer.

Rising Sun Pictures Education exists to increase community knowledge and understanding of the skills required to succeed in the Visual Effects Industry, and the career paths available both locally and globally. We talk to schools, colleges, universities and community groups throughout Australia and the region.
