Te Hāpua : Halswell Centre encompassing a new public Library and community facility was opened in late November 2015.

Halswell Primary School celebrated 150th anniversary and the opening of their new school facilities in May 2015.

These two new educational facilities in Halswell together represent a real hub of learning for this fast growing community in the south west of Christchurch. Both facilities strongly reflect ongoing engagement with local rununga and an integrity through the design processes in acknowledging the cultural narrative for their area.

Join the Association for Learning Environments (A4LE) and come along and see how these fabulous post-quake facilities are serving the Halswell community and create a strong sense of belonging for children and whanau alike.

The event will begin at Halswell library and finish at Halswell Primary School.
