Sheldon College - Private School Redlands, Bayside Brisbane  AGM & Sheldon College's LINQ Precinct Tour

“The implications of Pedagogical Change on Education Facilities”

LINQ = Learning & Innovation in a New Queensland

The building comprises a large interactive learning sector, a business sector, an industrial arts/robotics sector and an advanced media sector and an observatory.

The logic is that students operate across all sectors in an interactive learning format where final output has passed through some or all of the building sectors.

Prior to touring the facility Dr Janelle Wills will provide insights in a short presentation titled:

“The more things change, the more they stay the same.”

Alphonse Karr

Much appears to have changed in education in the last forty years but the underpinning tenets remain the same.

Janelle will outline these key learning theories and how they influence teacher practice and policy makers. She will describe current directions and some of the challenges ahead.

Janelle is the Director of The Marzano Institute Australia and the lead training associate for High Reliability Schools, The Art and Science of Teaching and other Marzano topics.

Personally trained by Dr Robert Marzano, Janelle specialises in long-term school improvement efforts.
